Leadership Team

Andrew Paradise is the CEO and founder of Skillz. Prior to Skillz, Andrew founded AisleBuyer, which was best known for pioneering mobile self-checkout prior to its sale to Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU) in 2012. Andrew has been the founding inventor behind companies in different technology sectors ranging from eCommerce to image recognition to HR technology. Andrew was named to the San Francisco Times’ 40 under 40 class of 2018.

Casey Chafkin is the Chief Revenue Officer and co-founder of Skillz. Prior to Skillz, Casey was the VP of Business Development for AisleBuyer (now Intuit GoPayment). Casey received his B.S. in economics from Duke University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr Franceschi joined Skillz in January 2024 and serves as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Skillz, Mr. Franceschi was the Senior Vice President and Head of Finance of Compass, a real estate technology company. Prior to Compass, he served as CFO of Amazon Games, CFO of AWS Data Center General Services and served in a variety of operational finance positions at Citi and American Express.

Mr. Franceschi holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.

Nikul (Nik) Patel is the Interim General Counsel at Skillz, where he oversees legal, compliance, and regulatory matters. Nik Patel is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various aspects of corporate and securities law. Prior to joining Skillz, Nik was a Senior Associate at international law firm King & Spalding LLP, where he represented a wide variety of clients in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and securities matters. Nik received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before graduating from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
